Introduction
Van Engelen Asset Management & Advice BV offers interim services and strategic advice to insurers, pension funds, family offices, banks and asset managers.
With a focus on asset management, acquisition integration and interim functions, Van Engelen supports organisations in integration and consolidation phases with complex challenges and transitions. This includes a unique combination of expertise in portfolio and balance sheet management, setting up a department, as well as structuring, establishing, managing, merging and/or liquidating investment institutions, including license applications and stock exchange listing.
In addition, Van Engelen offers program management for acquisition integration, with attention to due diligence, portfolio merger and organizational harmonization. With over 25 years of experience and a strong network, Van Engelen supports careful integrations, in which risk management and strategic goals are central.
The interim services include functions such as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and senior management roles, ensuring continuity and effective management of investment departments and optimisation of products. These services are also valuable for vacant positions and bridging during recruitment processes.

Onze Dienstverlening
Asset Management
Full asset management with a focus on strategic asset allocation and implementation of various (alternative) asset categories. If desired, we supervise ALM studies and integrate impact investing for sustainability. Our expertise also includes setting up a business unit, selecting service providers, and (re)structuring, making sustainable and introducing (alternative) investment institutions, supported by an AFM license. In addition, we advise on the product proposition and design of DC pension products and PPIs, as well as on the structure of buy-outs of DB contracts.
Interim Management

Mark van Engelen is the founder and managing director of Van Engelen Vermogensbeheer & Advies B.V., specialized in asset management, interim management and strategic advice for the financial sector. With more than 25 years of experience at international top institutions such as Achmea, ING, AXA, Reaal-Zwitserleven and a.s.r. Nederland, he brings in-depth knowledge of balance sheet management, risk management and strategic transitions. Mark’s career started on Wall Street and includes leadership roles in which he launched successful funds, managed large portfolios and guided the integration of mergers and acquisitions. His pragmatic, strategic approach helps organizations realize sustainable growth and process optimization in a changing financial world.
